Understanding Medicare Supplements
Medicare Supplements are required by law to provide the same benefit from ANY company. They conform to a letter standard that shows via a alphabet letter what the coverage included in the supplement is.
The only difference is the price. The difference in price between Blue Cross Blue Shield and Mutual of Omaha, Family Life, or Gerber could be over $100 per month for the same plan. You could save thousands by moving to a different company with the exact same coverage.
The most common Tennessee Medicare Supplement plans
- A Plan F or Plan C supplement covers 100% of all medical copays and deductibles.
- A Plan G or Plan D supplement has a $140 deductible, then covers 100% of all medical copays and deductibles.
- A Plan N supplement has a $140 deductible, then has a $20 or 20% copay for the doctor, whichever is less, and a 50$ copay for emergency room.
There are some other differences between plans, and there are other plans available, but I feel like these are the simplest to understand and offer the best benefits for the price in most cases. If none of these sound like the option you need, please let me know your criteria and I will review them all for you.
Under 65 Medicare Supplement in Tennessee
We have programs available for under 65 disabled SSDI with Medicare Benefits, including Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement.
All supplement carriers are required to start selling traditional supplement options for under 65 starting Jan 1, 2010 in TN. These rates are out now, however our automatic quote engine does not display quotes for them, so they will have to be done manually. The base rate on the lowest cost plan is upwards of $200 per month, so these plans are difficult to recommend for someone without significant medical expenses. Please get in touch if you need information about these plans, and we will do my best to answer any questions and assist you with your choice.
Our Service
Our service is unmatched. If your plan changes drastically in price, expect a phone call to inform you. We provide annual reviews of Medicare part D to insure you never get caught in a large change in price because of a formulary change or change in medication. No other agency will treat you or your loved ones better.
I will also help with any information related to government programs that help in paying for medical expense or prescription drugs, so that you have all the information available. Over 35% of the seniors I talk with are eligible for savings programs but have never been shown any information about them.
Let me know what medicare supplement you currently have, I'll send you comparisons to the lowest priced supplements available in your area now, or get an instant quote on our site on our Tennessee Medicare Quotes page.
